About Hazel Cochrane Photography
Discover the inspiration behind my photography and the path that has shaped my creative vision. My journey, fuelled by a deep passion for the land, drives me to capture striking landscapes that reflect both the character of Australia and the shifting beauty of seasons around the globe. Based in Adelaide, I strive to showcase the unique spirit and natural wonders found in every scene I photograph.

The journey begins
My love for photography started in childhood, sparked by a Kodak Instamatic film camera. From capturing cherished memories of my children to exploring remote landscapes, photography has been a lifelong passion. For the past twenty years, I have dedicated my time to travel and landscape photography, contributing to publications and websites with captivating images and stories.

Capturing the essence
My unique style lies in capturing the essence of the land, showcasing the vibrant colours of the changing seasons, and highlighting the textural nuances created by light at different times of the day. My dedication to landscape photography often takes me to remote locations, where I patiently wait for the perfect light to create breathtaking images.

A visual story
More than just taking pictures, I aim to create a visual story with each image. I want people to feel a connection to the landscapes and appreciate the beauty of the natural world. As a person and a photographer, I value creating images that resonate with viewers and evoke a sense of wonder and appreciation.
